Our individual skills clinics are designed for Issaquah FC players who aspire to elevate their soccer skills and personal development in a small-group setting. Our Center of Excellence program are personally led by Gordon Hill, a former Manchester United and England player holding the prestigious UEFA "A" coaching license, the program focuses on three fundamental elements: Control, Pass, and Move.

Participants attend one intense, fast-paced training session per week throughout the month, lasting 1.5 hours.

MEET GORDON

Gordon Hill, known to soccer fans as ‘Merlin’ for his dazzling goal-scoring skills and enchanting crowds at Old Trafford by scoring 39 goals in 101 appearances for Manchester United between 1975 and 1978. He also earned six caps with England’s senior national team and represented the Three Lions at every level—including amateur, youth, and U-23. Over his 18-year professional career, Hill played for 14 clubs, including stints in the old North American Soccer League with the Chicago Sting and Montreal Manic, where he was one of the league’s top strikers.

After retiring as a player, Hill moved into coaching, leading England’s Chester City in 2001 and the Nova Scotia Clippers of the Canadian Soccer League. He now runs The Gordon Hill International Football Academy and regularly hosts clinics and camps across the United States.

Hill recently documented his remarkable career in his autobiography, Merlin, but remains a humble student of the game. “I’m not a legend,” he says. “I did what I did—I played the game the way I thought it should be played and loved it. Now, I’m focused on helping the next generation develop the skills and tools to succeed.”
