ISSAQUAH FC + POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE (PCA)

We’re proud to announce our exciting collaboration with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) - a national nonprofit organization committed to transforming youth sports culture so that every young athlete can have a positive, character-building experience. We will be joining other national organizations in this collaboration, including the US Soccer Federation (USSF).

At Issaquah FC, we are deeply aligned with the Positive Coaching Alliance’s vision of creating a world where every young person benefits from a positive sports experience, guided by coaches who inspire them to become the best version of themselves both on and off the field.

Our commitment mirrors PCA’s focus on using youth sports as a catalyst for lifelong growth and developing not just great players, but great people. We work intentionally to help players develop physical health, mental resilience, academic success, character development, and personal confidence - as well as essential life skills such as teamwork, empathy, perseverance, and pride in our community. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but excited about how PCA will elevate our impact.

Through this collaboration, Issaquah FC coaches, parents, and athletes will have access to PCA’s proven resources and workshops designed to foster a supportive, respectful, and growth-focused environment for our athletes both on and off the field.

What this means for our community:

Coaches will benefit from expert-led workshops focused on effective communication, positive motivation, and creating a team-first culture.

Athletes will learn how to compete with character, grow through challenge, and take pride in their role as teammates.
Parents will receive tools to support their athletes with perspective, encouragement, and understanding.

We believe that great coaching is more than “Ws” and “Ls” and the final score - it’s about developing confident, respectful players who love the game and grow from it. By embedding these values into every aspect of our club, we are not just developing better soccer players - we are developing great people.
