MICRO SOCCER (U5-U7)
Micro soccer is where our youngest players—U5, U6, and U7 (typically Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade)—begin their soccer journey.
It meets once a week, for 1.5 hours on Saturday, and the practices and games are combined in the session. It runs from September-October for 8 weeks.
Our goal is simple: help kids (and parents!) fall in love with the game in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Each week, players enjoy a professionally led skills clinic followed by small-sided scrimmages. Teams have up to six players, playing 3v3 without goalkeepers—perfect for lots of touches on the ball.
We start each session with coordination-based warm-ups, then build skills step-by-step over the season—dribbling, ball control, learning the flow of the game, passing, turning, and shooting.
Whenever possible, we group players with classmates from their school, and all teams are formed by age and gender.
Parent volunteers coach the practices and games, making this a true community effort.
Check our Age Chart to see where your child fits based on birth year.

WHAT TO BRING EACH WEEK
-
Size 3 soccer ball: You will receive one as part of your registration. It is important to label your soccer ball and water bottle so as not to get confused with other players!
-
Shoes: Cleats are preferable because they grip the wet grass and are good for lateral movement. Tennis shoes are fine however.
-
Shin guards: All kids MUST have shin guards to play in any practices or games.
-
Water bottle
